What beaches to see in Monaco?

If you come to Monaco for camping, the principality has beaches that are ideal for basking in the sun and offers activities for couples, friends and families to enjoy. The main one is the Larvotto beach. It is the last remaining public beach in Monaco. It is 400 metres long and has recently been redeveloped. The beach contrasts with the Monegasque landscape as it is located below the skyscrapers, along the Avenue Princesse Grace and its famous shaded promenade.

The other beaches of Monaco are in fact privatised parts of the Larvotto. There are six of them: La Note Bleue, Neptune Plage, Miami Plage, La Rose des Vents, Nikki Beach Monte Carlo and Monte Carlo Beach Club. They offer many comforts with entertainment, restaurants, bars and massage salons. In short, everything you need to relax and have fun when camping in Monaco.

Atypical beaches in Monaco

If you are looking for an atypical experience, Port Hercule (about 2km south of Larvotto) is home to an artificial beach, the Solarium beach. The originality of this beach lies in its layout: it was built in the form of a wide staircase. Ladders allow direct access to the sea. The beach offers a great deal of freedom to swimmers as it is not supervised. However, care must be taken as the water is very deep and there is no support. From the port of Hercules, you can also access the Fishermen’s Path. Very little known and very little used, this path represents a great opportunity to enjoy the view and to isolate yourself at the foot of the Rock.
